Hi there, I’m Brit. I’m thrilled you’re here! I strive to create a space where everyone feels welcomed, safe, and seen as their true self. When I was young, I remember watching my Aunt do my Granny’s hair. Colors, perms, hot tool styling – a complete transformation all in the confines of my Granny’s kitchen. In 2015, I graduated from Toni & Guy Hair Academy. In the last decade, I have worked in salons across Massachusetts learning new skills from coloring human wigs to tape-in extensions to razor-cutting techniques. I’ve spent the last few years specializing in creative haircuts and custom, lived-in colors. I have a passion for the symbiotic relationship between the two. Every haircut can further come to life with a thoughtful color whether that be a vivacious vivid or a dimensional lived-in beauty. In the same breath, lovely color work shines brighter when dressed with a fantastic haircut. Haircuts help us feel like ourselves. Haircutting often gets overlooked. My goal is to listen to keywords, translate what is being asked and bring to life the way we want to perceive ourselves. I pay attention to small details. One of my mottos is “little things add up.” I truly believe there’s a fun hairstyle for everyone. It’s just about finding what works for you. Let’s break out of old habits. Take new approaches. Say more, speak less.

Cancellation Policy

In order to book and secure an appointment at Tortoise and the Hair, a valid credit card must be on file. All appointments require non-refundable deposits. Of course there are circumstances in life that happen. This policy is to ensure we both respect each other’s value and time as people. Tortoise and the Hair asks that all cancellations please be made within 48 hour window of scheduled appointment time to avoid any type of appointment fee. Again, deposits are non-refundable. This means avoiding any further charge for scheduled appointment. All cancellations made under 24 hours notice are subject to 100% service fee.
